On the Amazon.com website it now says “We have been notified that there is a manufacturer defect with this product. We are working with the manufacturer to get this corrected and have the product available again. We will be notifying customers who have already ordered the product to alert them to the issue and offer a resolution.”

According to some reviewers on the Amazon website, they have received a box that has been damaged in the mail or contains cd’s with glue on them, which apparently is coming from the LP like sleeves made specifically for this box. Others state that they have received their items undamaged and without any glue marks whatsoever, so it appears some people are lucky and others are not. For a product with such a hefty price and shipping tag this is unacceptable.

Although I trust that Amazon will fully resolve this matter, please keep this in mind when ordering this item.

Live in Europe

Appearing on DVD for the first time in this box is Live in Europe ’67. These performances were shot in Stockholm and Karlsruhe during the Miles Davis Quintet’s European tour of 1967 and has been completely remastered from the original broadcast tapes and feature Miles with Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, and Tony Williams.

First Time Audio Release of Isle of Wight

In addition to the DVD, there is the audio release of the full performance from the 1970 Isle of Wight festival. This historic UK concert is now officialy issued in its full length performance on CD for the first time. Bonus tracks and other rare material that have been added to the CD reissues of individual albums in past years are also included.

In Paris Festival International De Jazz May, 1949 (1949)
This new CD adds two previously unreleased tracks: pianist-composer Dameron’s “The Squirrel” and the classic ballad “Lover Man.”

Rammstein – Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da Limited Edition Box

Rammstein are taking their album titles quite literally and are releasing a unique limited edition “deluxe” collectible box of their new CD “Liebe Ist Fur Alle Da”. The flightcase not only contains a special edition of the album with 5 extra tracks but also holds lube, hand cuffs and six adult toys which apparently are numbered to “correspond with each band member’s member size”. Ah those crazy Germans. What will they think of next? Standard and special editions of the album without the sex aids have been released as well but according to a recent statement by the German government, sales of the album has been restricted to persons of age 18 and over.

The Beatles have released a beautiful USB Drive in a limited edition of 30,000 copies containing 14 of their albums in high quality remastered digital audio.

The Green Aluminum Apple (50mm wide x 48.5mm high) comes with 16GB of storage and holds music in both FLAC 44.1 Khz 24 bit and DRM Free MP3 320 Kbps formats. Not only does the USB drive contain the 14 Albums of the Beatles’ stereo box set but it also holds 13 mini-documentary films, replicated UK album art, expanded liner notes and rare photos. The drive is supported by PC and Mac.
